Herb Solow, the executive in charge of developing Star Trek and Mission: Impossible for Desilu Studios back in the 1960s, has just written a review of the new film for the BBC website.
"I found the young Chekov a bit more hyper than we envisioned him to be.
He was originally to be a rather plodding Russian astronaut with no sense of humour. But this young Chekov was much more lively and a bit of a caricature."
Um....REALLY?! The original Chekov was more plodding and humorless?? Really? Um, OK. :)
I respect the rest of this review, but this made NO sense to me...
Adam is a writer based in New York City (most of the time). His stories have appeared in The Iowa Review and Scholastic. His plays are produced on a pretty much annual basis in New York. He's a geek.
MARVEL COMICS: STAR TREK, VOL. 1 - Star Trek #1-3: The Motion Picture adaptation, not reviewed. - Star Trek #4-5: The Enterprise is haunted by horror movie monsters.
